“Don’t let the sunshine spoil your rain.”


My daughter watches this Sesame street movie on repeat and in the opening song “the Grouch” is singing the Grouches anthem. This song is hilarious. It’s about how all good and happy things bothers him. He sings, “Don’t let the sunshine spoil your rain.” When i’m in a funk, and everything is going opposite of what I hoped, I sometimes sing this to myself. “Jesus, Please beam me out!”


Saw, Insidious, The Grudge, Annabelle, and anything else terrifying. I hate horror movies. I wondered why Philippians 4:8 says, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” I got that message too late. I would watch some of that crap and would stay up all night. Especially, those horror movies when they go get the priest and he can’t even help them! They make it seem like darkness rules, whatever! But I could barley make it through a horror movie. I would cover my eyes, cover my ears, and finally start praying. If you have to pray your way through a scary movie, just leave.
